Swansea City Personalised Football Calendar

A Special Gift Idea For Fans Of The Swans!

Swansea Town FC, formed in 1912, became known as Swansea City FC in 1971 when Swansea gained city status. In addition to FA Cup success, the Swans have enjoyed periods of top flight football, including an impressive sixth place finish in 1982. Although the club has since experienced disappointing years in the lower leagues, the appointment of Roberto Martinez as manager galvanised the team in 2007, providing much hope for future success. Swansea City FC's main rival is fellow Welsh club, Cardiff City. This rivalry has been intensified through the years due to the persistent feeling that local medias ignore the Swans in favour of the Bluebirds.

Our Personalised Swansea City Calendars feature a fascinating selection of match reports on some of the best games from the past sixty years, including famous fixtures from the Swansea Town days. Starting from the month of your choice, these A3 Calendars are a great gift idea for any fan of the Swans and they will bring back wonderful memories from some fabulous performances.

Calendar Highlights

The Personalised Swansea City Calendars include matches reports from a variety of competitions, charting some of the Swans' best moments since the 1950s.

The A3 Calendar begins in 1954 with Swansea Town's incredible 7-1 league victory against Port Vale FC. The club enjoyed relative stability in the Second Division during the 1950s in addition to consistent success in the Welsh Cup. Fans of the Swans were witnessing many goals, but unfortunately many were being conceded by their own team. Over the next few decades, league form was inconsistent. Swansea City enjoyed promotion in some years, but relegation often soon followed. The Calendar Gift features Swansea City wins over Liverpool, Leeds United, Ipswich and Tottenham, before focusing on the promotion-clinching matches of the new millennium.

Swansea City faced Rotherham in 2000 with the Division Three title hinging on the result. Two penalties and great defending by the Swans led to a 1-1 draw and this was enough to hand Swansea City the trophy. In 2008, the Swans guaranteed promotion to the Championship following a 1-2 win against Gillingham. A Guillem Bauza brace won the match, but fans were unable to celebrate their promotion until May, as Leeds United were in the midst of an appeal against their rescinded points.

In addition to these terrific league wins, our Personalised Swansea City Calendar also includes the Swans' Autoglass trophy victory against Huddersfield Town FC from 1994. We also incorporate other famous Swansea City domestic cup ties, such as the 2-0 victory against Arsenal in the 1981 League Cup competition.
