Queens Park Rangers Personalised Football Diary
Terrific Diary Gifts for Fans of the Rangers!
Queens Park Rangers FC, formed in 1882, is based at the Loftus Road stadium in Shepherd’s Bush. Prior to settling here, financial trouble had forced Rangers to frequently move around and the club fought hard to assert its place in English football. In 1959, the appointment of Alex Stock as manager revolutionised the team and Queens Park Rangers went on to win the League Cup. In 1976, Dave Sexton became the second Rangers’ boss to achieve significant success. In Sexton’s first full season, the club finished as runners-up in the First Division - just one point behind Liverpool FC. Queens Park Rangers were awarded a place in the UEFA Cup and the club went on to reach the quarter-finals.
In 2006, Formula One tycoons Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone bought a majority stake in the club, saving Queens Park Rangers from financial ruin. Their investment has led to hope for the future and thoughts of a third great era of success for the side.

The club beat Birmingham City 1-4 in the first leg of the semi-final, before backing up this win in the second leg and racing through to face West Bromwich in the final.
